Lessons on a Dom

6 Mar

From Richard Windsor's collection.

He leads. His self-control is matched only by his ability to control any particular situation, led by an unwavering moral code of honesty, respect, and integrity. He is imperfect but secure enough to recognize his shortcomings.

When he fucks, he means it — sometimes with a selfish abandon designed for his pleasure only, sometimes with a sweet tenderness that seems contradictory to his alpha make-up. He is alternately gruff and gentle, quick to judge and slowly deliberating. When he makes a decision, he stands by it.

He is a Dom. His authority is ever-present; this makes him a Dom, not a Top. His Domliness is as essential and unobtrusive as skin — it is who he is.

Unafraid to take control, he is equally unafraid to show tenderness, sensitivity and caring at the appropriate times. This doesn’t make him weak; this makes him strong. This, not his cock, makes him a man.

Knowing that respect breeds respect, he respects those who call him “Sir”. He regards it as a title earned through his actions, not simply because he was born a man and is, thus, entitled to it.

He spanks hard. He loves deeply. He honors his word and holds his submissive to the same high standard because he knows her worth.

This is my Dom. This is the man I am fortunate to call my own. I’ve never seen him lose his temper; he’s never spanked or spoken to me in anger. He respects me, and I call him “Sir”.

      Thanks, Raven!

I was reminded of a personal ad I saw awhile ago on CollarMe. There was this dude who said, paraphrasing, “All my life people called me a disrespectful jerk to women. And then I realized I could be the same person in the BDSM lifestyle. I’m a natural Dom. I don’t need to change a thing.”

      *Snort*

Anyway, it inspired me to look at D and consider what traits made him a Dom — and it turned out that all of his lovely qualities, not his ugly ones, contribute to his Domliness.

Hope you’ve had a good weekend and are feeling better!

It all to true that Dom may be in charge, but the sub, she leads from behind!

    Lovely as usual

…or she leads with her behind? 🙂

Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend, Emanuele!

      Hugs,

      Pink

He is. But don’t tell him that; I wouldn’t want it to go to his head. 😛

It’ll be our little secret! Promise 😉

Thanks, Ronnie! I love those two little cane marks on her bottom on the last one…makes me want to know what happens next (although I can guess).

    Pink,
There are many dominant types, from both genders, who present themselves in compelling fashion. Your experiences from the online world are full of their enticing words which are designed to push your spanko buttons.

While their thoughts and ideas conjure up a virtual reality, *our* reality is manifest in real actions, real marks, real tears, real laughter and real caring for one another. YOU are my fantasy girl come true.

    • Barely Pink March 7, 2011 at 12:07 pm #

Man. You totally know how to make your girl grin. Thanks for that.

The thing about us is that we aren’t defined by D/s; we adjust, we give, we take according to what’s going on in our real worlds. And because we account for those real worlds, we have become part of each other’s reality.

It’s been a fantastic year, D. Thank you.

Pink, this is a beautiful description of D and your relationship with him. And D’s comment is just as wonderful. You’re both very lucky. Thanks for sharing this.

Larken, he’s not a man of many mushy words, but as the post says, he knows when to say them. He turns me to soup.

      🙂

A picture of a true dom indeed. 🙂 Thank you as always, your Pinkness.
